I bought a box of 50 .40, from walmart for around 20 bucks plus tax. 1000 divided buy 20 is 20. 20 x 20 is 400. So it is WAY cheaper to just buy 1000 rds online. http://www.ammoman.com/webstore_40.htm

I've used it extensively in all my P-Series and find it to be good. Always goes bang, not too dirty, and accurate enough for target practice.

Surprised to hear that. I personally love the stuff and look for it. Heck of alot better then Remington UMC.

What kind of cheap bulk ammo do you practice with?

I got 100 round boxes of winchester white box 9mm for 15 bucks yesterday there. They were charging around that for 50 rounds of remington .45, and 12 bucks for blazer .45 50 rounds.

Cheapest ammo in town is at Walmart, 100rd box of 40 for $19.

Ok I see a reason why, but you never answered what you prefer?

WWbox is underpowered as is Rem UMC. Cycles most guns ok, but some just don't run on it. My Automag3 choked on UMC but ran 100% on any other decent brand, my MP5 can't get thru a mag of the WWB. My 1911 won't function with the WWB. My 9mm Glock eats it up. Just be sure it works in your guns before you buy too much!

I have been buying White Box Winchester ammo at a fairly quick pace here lately. 100 Rd boxes are approx. 16.98 for 9mm, 24.00 for .40 and 28.99 for .45.

I have fired about 5000 rounds of it this year and have been very pleased with it.

I have been buying Blazer Brass .45 ACP for 12.50 bx at Wallyworld also. Decent ammo and cheaper than the White Box.

I will say (since I posted that post) The ammo shot fine!

I was still a little disapointed in the way it looked but it never effected the shootability of that ammo!

And my phone call to winchester did net me a $10 off coupon for my next winchester ammo purchase!

I will still buy their ammo when needed!

I do try to buy most of my ammo from Georgia Arms! The prices are just a little better and I get it all in bulk. It is all factory reloads but I have never had an issue with their ammo.

i prefer my own, match grade ammo at a much cheaper price

    i will explain it again

    i have shot 10's of thousands of rounds of wwb, i have seen the worst quality control you can imagine, from smashed cases, to inverted bullets, and primers, i have chronographed them with the worst std i have ever seen, in addition to averaging 6% of them key holing, {not the guns fault ether, i own several}

now would i buy it or shoot it through my gun?

sure, but not because it is good ammo for a cheap price, it would be a convenience issue, or a last resort, and definitely not at a match

i just get tired of hearing what great ammo it is at a great price, it is not, it is not even good ammo, it is borderline acceptable at a reasonable price, it kills me to hear that it is such a great deal, then dog Remington 440 box .22

so if i had a choice to by wwb from wally word vs spending a few more bucks per box, i myself value my guns and my life a bit more than saving a dollar
