yes i am married and so is she i kinda know her husband....dont want to get together with her or anything just kinda wanted say hi i guess. 0 -
Probably best that you did not talk to her. There is no real way that could end up good if it got back to your wife. Especially since your wife was not there. All it would take is one of your boys to say something to there mother. But what do I know, I not married 0 -
I would have spoken to her. 0 -
If you haven't said by now it don't need sayin' 0 -
cletus, longtime no see how are you doing?
this was the first time i had even seen her since it all went down years ago your pry right though it bothers me some....she was the only woman i broke up with...and was just because i was young, dumb and got scared. all the other ladies i dated dumped me up until the gal i got married to and i know its not a good feeling to get dumped.... guess so goes life.0 -
This could of just got you the "cold shoulder" or worse, then she might have chalked it up to "young oats" too and been ok with you.
An old grudge can be held in people long times.
I dated a girl when we were 18 and found out she had a boyfriend and I was just someone she was chasing after. We only saw each other on weekends for a couple months when kids did the "cruise small towns, nothing to do" days of kids, parties, hangouts and backroads. It was easy to lose track of her before cell phones and technology back in 1988.
Skip to ten years later and I work weekends as a bouncer in a Baltimore nightclub and she comes in. I greet her as an old friend and she is flirty and keeps coming back to flirt and dance by the front door. Before the night was over she gives me the "I tried by I just don't remember how I know you".
When I told her who I was the transformation was scarry, thats one bar fight I might have lost[B)]0 -
I did the same thing with a girl back in the 70`s.I`ve always wanted to say I was a jerk and I`m sorry. It`s always bothered me and always will. I`d have taken the opportunity and said howdy. 0 -
I know the feeling I broke up with a girl to date the woman I am now married to [:D] but I wish I had done things a little better on the break up Iv seen her a few times over the past 17 years but just never said anything but the next time I do see her I think I will for what its worth tell her Im sorry for being a young jerk [:D][:D] just to make me feel better [:D][:D] funny how as you get older you look back and say damn I cant belive I done that [}:)][:D] 0 -
Women in experience, tend to have LONG memories and hold grudges longer than men do. But if you wanted to test the water, you might have kind of staged a "chance meeting". Like at the concession stand or something.
I'm not a very religious person, but I do believe that sometimes when we feel the need to do/or NOT do something, we should trust our instincts. And that it might even be the Holy Spirit attempting to guide you. You just have to be carefull and be sure that what it leads you to is right and for good. The Holy Spirit will NEVER lead you to evil.
You may have really hurt her back then. And your apology might have done alot of good in erasing the pain she felt and may still feel. And be good for both of you.
(especially if she gives you a makeup BJ).[:D]0 -
i am friends with all my old girlfriends. sure feels good not to have animosity or hate in a chance meeting[8D] 0 -

Have two good friends who lost their marriage due to "running into" old girlfriends. One had been married for 27 years, the other for 21. Neither one intended to get into a relationship, cheat, or leave their wives and kids, but their vision got blurred and they went farther than they thought they ever would. Both now have nothing, and one of them has LARGE child support payments for another 4 years.
Leave it alone if you love and are loyal to your children. They don't want their parents to get a divorce because their dad has an old memory attached to a wild oat left to sow. Time to suck it up and suck it in. You're playing with a fire you think is fun, but it will consume you, your wife, your children and your dreams. Believe me when I tell you, it's not worth the fantasy in your mind.0 -
Heff, i hear you and no worries here, have no interest getting back with her 0 -

Neither did they. it just came up. Both of them will tell you the same thing you just said, but the girls pushed it and they gave in. Lost everything.
You know what your intentions are, but you are clueless of what hers might be.
Take my aged advise and just pass on any contact. No temptation will help keep your family strong, and you don't know what she might have in mind.0 -
there is a good reason I'm not with my past girl friends now, can't imagine why i would want to try it again even on an intended social level 0
