computer problem

The other night we had a thunder storm. Since then my compter is not working right. You can be doing something on it and all the sudden it is gone. I might have to take it to the shop[:(]

  we have helped get more than 1 persons computer up and running here before,the problems mentioned above can be diagnosed by the series of beeps at start, those beeps are often taken for granted but do pose a purpose
  
  unclean cpu's are the #1 failure of processors, people do not realize how fast a cpu can reach critical temperatures, and most do not know that during boot up the cpu is running at 100%, i have seen the above problem many times, it has been from a ram problem to a simple drive ribbon
