If you are squeamish like that^, then don't ever go to anywhere any food stuff is handled, packaged, or processed. Maybe you should just stay in the family room while your food is being prepared!
I have been to Hershey Pennsylvania, and taken the tour at the candy factory, and witnessed 10,000 gallon vats of chocolate, with the machines leaking "edible, food grade grease" into the slop.
I was on a bulk loader ship, and watched the conveyor filling a hold with tons of Tapioca. The Longshoremen in the hold had to shovel it to the corners so that the hold filled completely. It takes hours. Maybe the Longshoreman had too much coffee that day....
Have been to a packing plant and have seen the cows going in one end, and packages of meat coming out the other.
In my youth, I had a job as a Busboy - the restaraunt was one of the finest in the area - I was shocked to see the conditions in the kitchen area.
You should NEVER ask about or watch sausage being made!!!
OK, back on topic: My fave is Pace Chipotle Chunky Salsa, tied with Tabasco Brand Chipotle Hot Sauce. I use one or the other about twice a day!!!0 -
