How about it ?
Took this out of my earlier post.
How many of YOU would take that Libertarian pledge ?
I challenge those who presently control the National Rifle Association to deny or affirm a principle put forward by the Libertarian Second Amendment Caucus as the Atlanta Declaration:
Every man, woman, and responsible child has an unalienable individual, civil, Constitutional, and human right to obtain, own, and carry, openly or concealed, any weapon -- rifle, shotgun, handgun, machinegun, anything -- any time, any place, without asking anyone's permission. If those who presently control the National Rifle Association cannot affirm this principle, then they are enemies of individual liberty who should resign immediately and leave the field forever to those Americans who can manage to remember what their country and its Constitution are all about.

They just got $100 from me. I'd rather see them use it fighting in the courtroom than see a certain "gun rights" organization (who will remain nameless) use it to send their executives on Safari to Africa0 -
What so many people don't realize its not just about gun rights, its about all of our damn rights. The libertiarians seem to be the only quazi promintent political group that gets this. 0 -

Without the Second Ammendment, our remaining rights are not possible.0 -
Agreed, that being the case, why support the slow taking of any of our rights? I've personally discovered that when dealing with a great many libs (whom many of them were pro gun control, yet favored the rest of our rights) such as moderators on the airamericaplace.com chat forum, if you show them that all of our rights are precious, not just the second amendment, you can make an ally against gun control. However when you show that you only care about the second, and care not about illegal search and seizure, as well as illegal wire tapping, you have done no servie to yourself, or your country at all.quote:Originally posted by jbc23060

That's the thing I'm in total disagreement with them on. Everything else I have seen/read about them suits me to a T, but the drug thing keeps turning me off.0 -

Libertarians do not support the unrestricted use of all drugs....Instead we disagree with the government spending billions upon billions of dollars fighting an unwinnable war.
Thanks to the influx of non-violent drug offenders in our prisons, we have to release violent criminals who actually are a danger to society.....
