long night....
Last night sucked....
Just came back from a trip with my g/f (Brandy) and her mom to visit family in Ohio. Upon our return, Brandy's dad began making wierd accusations towards her mom.....saying she had been seeing another man on her trip, ect......plenty more but I'll spare the details.
Brandy's mom didn't do anything but babysit the whole damn time. If there was ever a woman than I wouldn't worry about running off with another man, it's her.
Appearently, accusations like this are pretty common on his part (I didn't know this before) but last night she told him she was leaving. In an attempt to scare her, he breaks out the .357 and tells her she'll never leave him. She runs out the door, finds Brandy and both show up on my door step.
Both were totally hysterical for about the first hour....
Brandy called her sister (the one we visited) while in route to my house and told her to come pick up her mom. Everyone figures the farther away she is, the safer she'll be. It was a 3 hr drive for her sister, so I had to watch her mom till she arrived
I don't know that I've ever seen anything so sad.....the woman has been totally broken....shaking like nothing I'd ever seen
The whole time I figured her dad would come looking....had the .38 in my pocket...praying that he wouldn't show up.
The cops went out to his house and talked to him....he hadn't made any SPECIFIC threats (what a crock of s&*^!) so they couldn't do anything, but they did take his pistol and shotgun away and gave it to a neighbor for safe keeping.
I took Brandy's mom to meet her daughter (she couldn't find my house) in town....still had my .38 with me. I don't have a CCW by the way (haven't been in state long enough) and it struck me as being so stupid......here I am, a Marine veteran with service in Iraq, trying to get an emotionally abused woman away from her husband and suddenly I'm the one breaking the law......what a strange world we live in [:(]
Brandy's still really tore up....I'm going to try to get her to go watch some fireworks later on, maybe it'll take her mind off of things....
