Main cause of "Global Warming" ?
Too many people in this world! Mother nature will cure the problem if we don't.[:(!]

LOL. Wanna buy a bridge?
Ever see a wolf or a coyote dead from flea infestation? Nope. They have them, to be sure, but they don't die from having too many. Same with us and the earth.0 -
Too many cows and sheep in this world? Don't forget people fart too.

Fleas don't fart (that I know of).

Carbon dioxide, that's it. I'm doing my part by exhaling less often. 0 -

What we need is a good old global pandemic. Bird flu? Maybe so, Aids is working too slow.

As near as I can tell, all of the world's problems are directly or indirectly related to the fact that there are too many humans.
Nunn, distribution will be a problem before production can no longer keep up with demand.0 -

No, but I can provide numerous other examples of animals killed by parasites.....I'm not exactly sure where you're going with this analogy0 -

When moths fart, they fly in a straight line.0 -
Its a cycle the earth goes through. Its has happened before and will continue to occur from time to time..... nothing we can do about it.
I understand Muslim extremists fart..... our Military is working on that problem right now.0 -

Just because something has occurred before (and will likely happen again) doesn't mean we cannot have an impact.0 -
"As near as I can tell, all of the world's problems are directly or indirectly related to the fact that there are too many humans"
Right you are HeDog. It is called the Malthusian theory. We were taught about it in high school.
The overpopulation will be corrected, according to Malthus, by warfare, plague, or famine, or maybe all three at once.0 -
OK, maybe there are too many humans. What can I do about it? I think I have done all that I can legally do. I had a vasectomy so that I cannot make any more humans, and therefore cannot add to the problem. As far as trying to solve the problem, I reckon I could try to eliminate few humans, but I would probably get myself into trouble if I did that.
The flea analogy works. We aren't roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, or heartworms. We are fleas. We live on the outside of our host, we remove what we need to survive from our host, and we crap on our host. Our host may take a swim or roll in the mud and drown some of us, but he ain't gonna kill us all.0 -

No it doesn't. I'd be inclined to agree with you if you can find me a flea civilization capable of nuclear power generation, spaceflight, etc.
The fact is humans have a unique ability to change the nature of their environment, one only has to look at satellite pictures to see that. We're not the flea that merely takes what is available, we literally have the technology to move mountains.
It has been proven beyond any possible doubt that humans have the ability to affect the atmosphere to a great extent within a relatively small area (think smog) so I'm not sure why the possibility of humans causing a small, but significant, change over a larger area is met with such persistent denial.0 -

My biggest objection to the "global warming hysteria" is the deceit and outright lies used to perpetuate the myth. In their vast treatise on global warming, names of scientists were used to support their premise, when the actual research of those scientists went against the document. The "global warming" so called "scientists" are now being sued by those whose research was hijacked. the pro-"global warming" parties are shouting that everybody agrees global warming is the biggest problem ever to face mankind and when respected scientists disagree, they shout even louder and drown out the opposition.
Another objection I have is to their spokesperson. Mr Gore lost the presidential election in 2000 and has been struggling to regain his relevance. He's just a sore loser shouting "look at me! look at me!" Now he has everyone's attention. What's his next trick going to be? Carbon Credits!! What a great idea!! And who owns a company that sells this scam?? That's right, Al Gore!! Wait a minute, so you mean he's making money off this?? (not to mention all the concerts, speeches, etc. that are bringing him money hand over fist) hmmmm....0 -
Global warming could be caused by a freak planet alignment that occurs every 12,000 years. Who knows? 0 -
I personally do NOT believe in global warming. I believe in cycles.

Lies and deceit are not limited to the proponents of Global Warming. The trickery is just as bad, if not worse, on the "doubter" side. If you search for through the archives, you'll find posts concerning:
A petition signed by 10,000 "scientists" who stated global warming was a scam......It turns out the vast majority of those scientists did not exist, had no credentials relating to climatology, or had their names listed without their knowledge.
A survey of research documents compiled by scientist which stated that the majority of scientific papers submitted to scholarly journals were, in tone, skeptical of global warming. I emailed the researcher myself and he stated that his findings had been deliberatly distorted.
Not so long ago, the board went into a frenzy because the founder of the weather channel wrote an opinion piece which blasted supporters of global warming theory. No one seemed to care that the guy had never been anything more than T.V. weatherman, nor had he actually conducted ANY climate research on his own. His opinion was based on "talking to people".
Then there was the thread which blamed alarming NASA climate data on the Y2K bug.....
No one seems to seek an honest discussion. When confronted with a conflicting opinion the standard tactic is to ignore it, or blast Al Gore....which brings us to.....

For the record, I'll repeat that I despise Al Gore. Believe me, few people would be more satisfied than me if he'd shut up. The second he opens his mouth, half of the population tunes him out. He used "An Inconvenient Truth" to blend climate change with partisan rhetoric.
On the other hand, just because Al Gore is saying it doesn't mean it isn't a real problem. Gore is like any other politician who uses real problems as a means to further their own political gain. Gore is no less a hypocrite than the "moral leaders" who we see all too often caught up scandals.0 -
The Number one cause is....................................
Too many POLITICIANS and all the hot air they spew.0 -
Call me a fatalist if you will, but I believe that an intelligent Creator fashioned this ball and hung it in space, setting a global life cycle into motion. I believe that, at that point in time, the Creator designed this ball to function for a certain period of time. When time is up, the ball will die and stop functioning. I also believe that there is NOTHING that you or I can do to either hasten or delay that day. 0 -

I'm not sure what the point of posting that article is, other than to show how far people are willing to reach to validate their opinions.....
That guy's research would have a lot more validity if he didn't throw out the "Greenhouse Effect" to reach his conclusions0 -
I don't really care how he came to his conclusions or even what his conclusions are.
I only care about the FACT that Mars has had a very similar temperature increase as Earth. That basically means man has not had the 100% blame for global warming that the crybabys are whining about.
I was simply searching for an article on the data of the temperatures and his was the first link that popped up.0 -

Therein lies the problem.
The facts (that you claim to be concerned with) are that Mars is VERY different from Earth.
Mars has no oceans and virtually no atmosphere. Warming on Mars IS occuring, but for different reasons than Earth0
