Shipping a vehicle overseas
Anyone ever done this? I have a friend who wants to ship a car to Central America. I went online and found hundreds of companies that will do it but wondered if anyone had experienced this undertaking. Best company, pricing, departing ports, etc.

talk him out of it, its not worth taking your nice car, unless he plans on selling it. Insurance, reg, road tax. 0 -
I know of a few who have done it, mostly bringing back vintage ('65 and older) Porsches from the US back to Europe.... 0 -
We shipped a car to europe on the gov't's dime. Easy as I remember. Just drop it off at the shipping company (or have them pick it up).
Why on earth would he want to ship to central america? I doubt you could even get auto-insurance there. 100% chance it will be stolen. Hopefully not with him in it.0 -
There is a big market for small diesel trucks there and he is going to ship one to his brother to be sold. Figures he can make $2000 profit from it. 0
