Weather Channel Founder Speaks out-
Global Warming `Greatest Scam in History'
It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create in [sic] allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the "research" to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.
Environmental extremists, notable politicians among them, then teamed up with movie, media and other liberal, environmentalist journalists to create this wild "scientific" scenario of the civilization threatening environmental consequences from Global Warming unless we adhere to their radical agenda. Now their ridiculous manipulated science has been accepted as fact and become a cornerstone issue for CNN, CBS, NBC, the Democratic Political Party, the Governor of California, school teachers and, in many cases, well informed but very gullible environmental conscientious citizens. Only one reporter at ABC has been allowed to counter the Global Warming frenzy with one 15 minutes documentary segment.
[...]
I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change. The impact of humans on climate is not catastrophic. Our planet is not in peril. I am incensed by the incredible media glamour, the politically correct silliness and rude dismissal of counter arguments by the high priest of Global Warming.
In time, a decade or two, the outrageous scam will be obvious.

I don't think so. I can tell by the weather, it's MUCH too warm this time of year. I would know there's a problem even if nobody else had said anything. we're in deep ****. 0 -

Warm winters have nothing to do with global warming. It has to do with the la nina and el nino phenomena. Global warming is measured in small temperature changes over a period of time. The nina effects affect jetstreams and such which is why we feel it.
But, the ignorance on this VITAL difference really goes a long way to fuel the liberals desire to control everything.0 -
Nearly everything runs in fairly predictible cycles. Same thing with weather. In 100 years they will be talking about how the earth is about to freeze over. 0 -

-Yep, it's all true. I put my thumb in my mouth and then stuck it up in the air. It dried up much more quickly than usual! Also, last evening when I went outside to feed my animals, I took a leak and my peter started to sweat. So I think Al Gore is right. He did invent the Internet, ya know.0 -
As a great man once said "Bring it on" 0 -
well, slipgate, I hope you're right. 0 -
I checked my globe, and it is no warmer than it was yesterday.
I don't accept human caused world heating as a fact.

It's been at least 7 degrees BELOW average here, for the past 3 weeks.
It's supposed to warm back up to "average" temps. after Tuesday.
I THINK IT'S THE COMING OT THE NEXT MINI ICE-AGE!!! OMG!!![:0]0 -
If there really was global warming, I would blame NASA and the US Goverment more. Everytime they blast a rocket to space, and punch a hole into the atmosphere the weather gets funny. Maybe there wouldn't be a drought in the south if they would quit sending crap into space in Florida. 0 -
If anyone is interested, here's a link to John Coleman's (TWC founder) original blog entry and some of the studies he has cited

I AGREE 100% ON THAT!!!0 -
While I do not buy into the "Global Warming" argument, I do believe we are hurting the atmosphere due to polution, and I would like to see us clean up as much as we can. The problem is, when you look at the rest of the world, especially China, India and those who are getting into manufacturing, they are poluting the air and ground at alarming rates, and refuse to clean up. America is a very small part of the world to do all of the enviromental cleanup. 0 -

Danny, What do you think the world would be like if all the oil available was just dumped into the ocean and on the ground?
I'll give you a clue. It's been done once already.[:p]
Pollution? Metal corrodes, organic material rots, and given time, everything else goes away too. Nuclear waste? Let's just put it back where we found it. In a million years, those little white plastic Wal-Mart bags will be the fuel for somebody's car![;)]0 -

Take a trip to india. You better have the windows rolled up in town, and even out of town you can barely breathe the air.
As I said before, I'm all for being as green as we can on a personal basis, but that is as long as the rest of the moron's in the world do the same thing.0 -
Yes the globe warms up every day and cools off every night.[:D] 0 -
Some show on A&E or the History channel said the Govt is seeding our weather with con-trails from jets? 0 -
LOL ... Government tells you there are no UFOs - despite photos, film, expert accounts, reliable accounts ... so most folks don't believe there are.
NOW, we you are suppose to believe the Earth is warming up (there is no scientific proof - one way or the other - and we most seemingly are all getting our your
panties tangled up in a wad - enough to cut the blood circulation to our your brains![:0]]
I propose, the aliens are cooling off the sun - so the interior of the Earth's heat is leaking more of it's core heat through active volcanoes - heat rises - many are active today, you know.
... regardless, it's fun to listen to all this happy horse sheet.

Less than thirty years ago the "New Ice Age" was the big panic.

How many Falls and Winters have you seen so far? I remember in 1949 playing outside in a short sleeve shirt on Christmas Day. Using your system as a gauge we should have all drowned under the melted polar caps by now.

You could have said the same thing about Pittsburgh a few years ago. No matter how thick the air gets, as soon as you stop pumping stuff into it, it clears up. There may be permanent damage to the people who have been trying to breath it, but the globe isn't hurt.0 -

Like George Carlin said, We aren't hurting the Earth we are only hurting ourselves. The Earth in the last 3.5 billion years has gone through more catalclismic punishment than we could ever cause and when the Earth has had enough it will shake us off like a bad case of fleas. The Earth isnt going anywhere...we are.0 -
Back in the early 70's they predicted that the next Ice Age was upon us. I doubt they made much money on it, but this sort of scam has been perfected since then and they are making millions off of it this time. I read somewhere that some 80 or 90% percent of scientists go along with the "cycle" theory while this tiny alarmist and money grubbing minority perpetuate the doom and gloom thoery as though they have proven it. Oh well, just another example of how dumbing down sheeple makes this type of extortion possible. They got us to invade a sovereign nation out of manufactured fear, so that they could make money, they can get us to believe anything. Come up with an idea of your own to scare a large segment of the population, and you too can be rich, mind you, it can't be legit like unprotected borders, it has to be completely fabricated. 0 -
I can imagine that it is 1999 and what folks on this forum are saying about Y2K and the SHTF stuff.[:D] I agree that we should not punish the earth within reasonable means; but to panic about it is too funny.[:p] And for all the survivalists out there, I will not subscribe to that kind of thinking. I will merely make sure I know where the nearest Mormans are and make sure I have them out-gunned[}:)] So, what I am saying, is that I can spend money on more guns and not have to worry about filling my garage up with crap that I will be sorry for buying 5 years from now.[:(] BTW, if you have a room full of survival stuff, please post your address.[:D][:D][:D] 0 -
I've now received 3 separate copies of this in my inbox.....
Just out of curiosity, why are people so excited over this?0 -

My own opinion-
This Planet/Mother Nature/our surrounding universe/ will change on its own as it has proved since the beginning of time as we know it without the consent of government or the human race.
Jokingly-[:D] How about you and I get a Billion $ grant to study and take out one of the 30 million asteroids buzzing earth that are the size of Texas that could take man kind out in a heart beat. Just had to put it in perspective.[:)]0 -
Probably why the southeast is drying up. Too bad the republicans could care less. 0 -
That's your opinion and that's fine. My own opinion is different than yours, but maybe not as well informed.
I just find it amusing that people have latched on to him as an "expert" on the subject because he founded the weather channel. Google "John Coleman" and you'll see what I mean.
John Coleman is a T.V. weatherman....no more, no less. He doesn't even appear to be particularly bright. In one interview I read (with Glenn Beck) he said that "Global Warming is as phoney as a $2 bill" [B)]0 -

"That's weather....not climate"
Silly me, how could I imagine the climate could affect the weather? [:0]0 -
Droughts usually start in the east and move to the west. The dust bowel of the 1930's, Heck I am only 45. I have seen droughts, floods, etc.
Even by NOAA's own admission we are in a LA Nina weather effect that at some point will be fallowed by the El Ni?o effect.
Kevin Trenberth, a climatologist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. Thinks that El Ni?o may function as a kind of pressure release valve on the tropics. In an era of global warming, Trenberth says, ocean currents and weather systems might not be able to bleed off all the heat pumped into the tropical seas. Periodically, it has to get rid of the excess that builds up, he suggests, and that safety valve is El Ni?o.
Since 1976, there have been seven El Ni?os. Based on the most reliable records, which go back 120 years, this does not make for global warming in my view.0 -
Since the polar ice caps have melted about 33% in the last 20 years, i am going oput on a limb and saying global warming is real. 0 -
and you folks actually trust what a meteorologist (aka "weather guesser" in maritime speak) has to say about weather changes? 0
