My estate sale find. Value?
I saw an ad in my local paper under misc. that listed several household items and also said "two handguns" with no price or description. I called and they turned out to be two Smith and Wessons .357. One is a model 60-10 and the other is a model 686-4. The 686 had the original box and papers. Both seem to be in real good cond. but need cleaning. Before I say how much I paid, what would be a fair price on the two?

Those look like Lew Hortons. I would say 700+ for both would be a good deal. 0 -

Thanks, I gave $700 for them. Just wondering if I gave too much. I have a tendancy to do that sometimes. Seems like everytime I hold a gun, I think I should own it. It's an expensive addiction I guess. They need a ten step program for people like me. 0 -
$350 x 2 absolutely not. I hate the new key lock Smiths being made and would pay more for a used Smith without a lock than a brand new one with a lock. 0 -

What makes you think they are Lew Hortons? LH will usually have 3" barrels, and those are not 3".0 -

They have both been fired so I'll have to ad to their round count. I only own one unfired gun. It is a Ruger GP100 in .357 Dont really know why I haven't shot it yet But I got it new a few years ago for $315.00. Haven't checked but I assume the value hasn't gone up much on it. You'll here of my range report if one of them blows up on me. LOL 0 -

You paid a fair price, but anything under $900 would have been reasonable. I have a 60-9 (Lady Smith) I paid $500 for and a 60-9 (Chief Special) I paid $400 for.
The `other gun site' has a 60-10 for $429 and a 686 for $555. That doesn't include shipping and transfer. You did OK.0
