Coca Cola contained cocaine. Hence Coca![^]
Well even in the sixties it was better than now. You could not chug a coke back then it would burn your nose. And putting peanuts in one would almost kill you trying to suck the foam to keep it from spilling over. Don0 -
coca cola was going to be used to cure hangovers and give you a little bounce in your step when it was first invented. 0 -
my house was finished in 1907. boy did they know how to contruct things to last. the boxwoods pictured are 100 years old.

+1 looks like most of st. louis (city) was built around 1904, these are some nice houses, would still be nice if they would have been taken care of 0 -
A good year.[;)] 0 -

Bob, you would have thought that they would have built interior staircases
by 1907. I can't help but notice the external ladders next to each window.
Isn't that kind of inconvenient in the rain and snow - and at night???
Seriously, nice home!

did i mention i feel like ive been working on it since 1908?[:I]0 -
I like old houses like that. My parents used to live in Berwyn, PA -
on a Waterloo Road famous for it's very old colonial houses. There
was on across the street and down a few that was actually started
in 1650. It had walls three feet thick and was used as a fort when
the injuns were getting a mite uppity.
.... anyway, the guy who owned it was restoring it back in the early
1960's and the house was in bad need of repair. The downstairs was
finished in the summer of '63 and to celebrate Jean and Jack Ryan
decided to have a Christmas party - to which all the neighbors and
his business associates were invited.
Jack and Jean were running late so Jean was still in the shower by the
time most of the guests had arrived.
There was a loud long CRRRRRAAAAACCCCCKKKK in the ceiling over
the living room. Slowly, through an ever widening hole in the ceiling
Jean came slowly into view - stopping about four feet through the
ceiling by the plumbing attached to the ancient bath tub.
End of Christmas party![:(]
... one of the most magnificent memories of my teenage years!

It has taken us a hundred years to go from 20% to 23%. That's mighty slow progress, but we're getting there. [V] [:(!] [:(] [xx(]0
