Now I really feel old!

I just recieved a thing in the mail for membership to the AARP telling me I am fully eligible for membership![:(]

I think I'm going to go put on the George Jones song "I don't need your rocking chair"![:D]

    ...I got a gazillion of those...but I was 50 at the time...they lower the age requierement?...was 50. DON'T join...unless you want your dues and all to go to liberal anything and everything MAJOR LIBERAL ORGINIZATION.

    ...The AARP is a liberal orginization, and support all that is liberal, including any and all gun laws,AWB, etc., etc.! If you watch some of their commercials (not all) very carefully, it is easy to see their liberal leanings.

    ..then again you may be a lefty?...[:0][:D]

    A lot of people join thinking they will get a bunch of discounts. You usually can get a better deal with AAA. Even a HOG or NRA card can give you some advantages.

    AARP was formed and is controlled by many insurance companies and they spend a lot of time trying to sell you all kinds of insurance crap.

    Totally anti-firearms!

    Ya'll can relax!

    I never said I was going to join. Just that they say I am eligable.

    I allready have AAA and get discounts there.

    It was just the fact that they were makeing me feel old wanting me to join the old fogies club!

    They sent me one when I turned 25. I called about getting my discount card and was denied when I gave them my birth date. What a let down. My wife and I sure could have used the hotel discounts on road trips.

    There is an organization modeled after AARP without all the gun grabber BS attached to it. I've been meaning to look them up one day. Maybe someday I'll do that.
