Do you still have your "dog tags"?

I guess this question is for the "older" guys/gals that were in service not you guys/gals that are currently protecting us.

I don't have mine and really don't remember what happened to them---just, sometimes, wished I still had them.

    I've got at least one set of mine...the wife has them on her key ring.

    Got one on my key ring and I'm not sure where the other one is. I saw an advertisement a while back where you can order new ones.

    Supply kept giving me the run around at every duty station, "We don't issue ID tags to temporary personnel." "We're out of stock." etc etc.

    Finally at my last duty station I actually worked in Supply and I made my own. I still have them.

    I've still got mine and have an extra set in my mobility folder but then again I'm still in the ANG. I retire in July so I guess they will go in storage. I have both of my Grandpa's tags from WW2.

    I still have mine plus the class a uniform I was discharged in. I'll never fit in it again though. 29" waist then and 42" waist now.

    still have mine, they lay in the bottom of my safe where i can see them everytime i open the door. Don't know why, but that's where i like them, and i do like seeing them

    I still have mine, too. Issued to me on Sept 28, 1977. I'm suprised they didn't make me turn them in when I retired. They are gov't property, after all![:D]

    Mine are at the bottom of Lake Camanche in California!

    I was out swimming and they came off when I jumped off the top of a boat.[:(]

    My wife has mine tucked away in her keepsakes someplace. Found my dads from WW2 while going thru his estate a couple years ago.

    never had any...but i did find some scuba diving with my underwater metal detector,,,how do i find and return them to the owner?..these are the older type..as it has his sos number on them..thanks for any reply

    I've had one on my key ring for around 40 years, wore one out so the last one has been on for about 20 years and still looks good.Damn got discharged in July 1967 damn I'm getting old.

    Haven't needed a spare set. The ones I'm looking for are my basic training dogtags.
