    All water is recycled unless you have a chemist make it in a lab for you.

    Most of the "particles" in tap water come from the distribution system and not the processed water itself. Our guys test the water at the plant and at various locations throughout the city. The water leaving the plant is always cleaner than at the other test sites. Cast pipe in the distribution system and home plumbing are often the biggest culprits. Bottled water is not all it is claimed to be either. Much of it is just "filtered" tap water.

    I have always been amazed how someone (who was much brighter than I am) could make a fortune selling a product that is free. Just goes to show that it pays to advertise, I guess.

    I have well water here, but if I lived in a city I'd drink
    bottled water for sure...can't stand the taste of chorinated city
    water.

    I can't speak for other states, but I spent 30 years doing inpsections of publlic water systms and treatment facilities. The State of Texas and the EPA have such stringent regulations concerning sediment, microbiological and chemical contents of the water that drinking water such as shown in the video are impossible to find in this state, unless the treatment facility is having REAL problems. Just another scare tactic to sell an unnecessary product.

    I use tap water run through a PUR filter...tastes ok to me. Bottled water is a rip off so I try to stay away from it.

    Your right of course, but PUR is a rip off too. I pay the big bucks for the PUR filters like you do, and it's better and cheaper than bottled water, but it really isn't necessary. The main reason I use filters is I have well water with high lime content and some kind of mineral I either forgot or never knew. I use the house filter in the basement and a faucet filter in the kitchen for drinking water. It keeps the lime from clogging up the ice maker and some people say it reduces the chance of kidney stones. [:D]
