    I know of one California Welder that received his truck, welder, equipment...and Govt. Contracts....from crooked people in power....DOD payed for it all.

    To attempt to stop the politics under Republicon rule is futile.

    What about when I came in and worked from 5am to noon while I was on leave--leave that was deducted from my leave balance which is worth money if I sell it back to the Army? What about when I came in and worked a half day yesterday on Veteran's Day--not because I was required to but because that's what it took to get the job done? It's lunchtime. I'm allowed.

    Under Democratic rule the Federal Govt. actually POSTED claims against the United States by Federal Employees:

    They ceased posting them in 2002.

    The Republicons appointed their own people into Command positions throughout the Federal Govt.. Atleast the Demoncrapa posted their opinions.

    Republicons have NOT and expended TRILLIONS more,

    ids, you may get a lot of things when you put on the uniform, but it seems like appreciation isn't one of them. Most of the time anyway.

    Once when I was home ported at Little Creek I was about to lose fifteen days leave. We had a lot of stuff going on that made it impossible to take the leave but I ran the leave papers anyway. At least then I would draw my leave rations and I wouldn't have to see fifteen days lost leave on my LES for a year.

    The Personnelman thought he was doing me a favor and "lost" the leave papers so I didn't get charged for the leave (which I didn't take) and I didn't get paid for the leave rations. Somehow NIS (now NCIS) got wind of it and called me in for an "interview". The young GS-7 read me my rights and told me I was suspected of a felony crime. He looked like he thought he had solved the Lindberg kidnapping and found Jimmy Hoffa's body. He said he needed a statement from me. I told him to give me a pen and paper and I'd give him a statement. He said that wouldn't be necessary. He would write out my statement during the interview.

    After the interview he handed me "my statement" and told me to sign it. I started reading it, which pissed him off, but when he saw I wasn't going to sign it until I read it he finally shut up and let me read it. It read like a confession. I told him that wasn't even close to anything I had said and he told me to just line out anything I didn't agree with. I lined out almost everything except my name and signed it.

    When my XO got the NIS report he called me in to ask me what the deal was. He already knew he had approved my fifteen days leave which was just a paperwork drill. I told him if he could get everybody to defraud the government like that we could have a tax cut.

    The only thing I heard about it later was one day when I met my Commanding Officer in the passageway he said "Jim, you're gonna have to quit ripping off the government like that", and laughed.

    I didn't think it was all that funny.
