Perhaps this story explains why the Russian Scientist in Antarctica was crying.

Well as all of us know, a fairy tale starts of with "Once upon a time" and a sea staoy starts with "this is a no $izzler"

Winston Churchill said that the tradition of the Royal Navy was "rum, sodomy, and the lash."
Did you ever see anyone get the lash?

I've always wondered why they sell KY Jelly in every PX I've ever been in...

Edit: ...even at Basic Training, the PXs had KY...

It makes me wonder if those two guys were so inclined before they got into the Navy [;)].

In today's modern Navy you can't ask and they can't tell. However, if I've learned anything on GunBroker it's that it's just as natural for humans as it is for Polar Bears.

I don't really think the Navy can change your stance on orientation or your orientation on stance, but I did know a Senior Chief Boatswain's Mate who turned down advancement to Master Chief Boatswain's Mate and put in his retirement letter. When the XO asked him what his real reason was, he told him when he came into the Navy, homosexual activity would get you six, six and a kick. Now it is optional. He wanted to retire before it was mandatory.
