Does your state allow conceal carry in a church?
Mine (Mississippi) does NOT allow concealed carry in a church or other places of worship.

Virginia; you can unless theres a "service" going on. The law is very vague on this one. Also, you can if "you feel there is a reasonable need to do so". So, does Va. Tech 4/14 count? I'm only 15 miles away from where that happened.

In AZ there's only a few places with a full prohibition. State, County or Federal Buildings (due to a lawsuit those HAVE to give you a place to check your weapon, securely), any place licensed to sell LIQUOR (not a beer and wine license) by the glass, a polling place on voting day, and any place where there's a sign requesting "no weapons". (private property rights and all that)

Last time I checked my MS CWP, you could not carry in Churches, any place that dispenses alcohol, any federal property, any school including ballgames, or anywhere a firearms prohibited sign is. 0 -

Don't really sound "gun free" to me. "I was carrying it in case of the need to protect me or any of the congregation" should be "sufficient reason" to me. Especially after recent events.0 -

The Hebrew word "ratsach" is translated in the King James Version as "kill". It would be more accurately translated as "murder". In other words, the commandment is "Thou shall not murder". The New International Version is one which translates the Sixth Commandment as "Thou shall not murder".
Simply carrying a gun in church doesn't necessarily mean you are going to kill anyone.0 -
Actually in WA state, you can carry on school grounds if you are not staying on the grounds. You may carry if you are dropping off or picking up your child 0 -

No. Murdering people in church conflicts with "Thou shalt not kill."
Prohibiting weapons in church conflicts with "Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion" or, more recently, separation of church and state. The gummint has no place making rules in my church.0 -

No, because the commandment is "Thou shalt not commit murder."
God never tells us not to kill. He tells us not to commit murder. There is a difference, and hopefully I shouldn't have to explain it further.0
