Just illustrates just how truly low child molesters really are.

As is, I still give that dog more credit than I do any child molester. Not much, but still more.

Here's who I hate: "reporters". How the f. is that an attack? A very unfortunate accident, but in no way that's an attack. I catch one of those f-ers -- i'll show them what an attack is.

Sumpin don't smell right about this story. There has to be more to it. We might never find out, but there ain't no way I'm believing a Pit Bull raped a two year old boy and that's the whole story.

    sneaky,

It wasn't consensual and it resulted in injury and it wasn't an inanimate object doing the harm - that's an attack.

It's not like the dog fell on the kid and hurt them. It's not like the dog stepped on the baby and hurt them. Those would be "accidents."

    This was an attack.

Pitbulls are genetically inclined to dominate. The breed was created that way on purpose! That's a fact; it's not just a matter of opinion. The owners have a dog first and then the baby shows up and gets most of the attention. The pb dog mounts the child to impose domination on it as a competitor in the pack, in order to re-establish his favortism with the owner, his alpha dog. He's trying to move back up the pecking order. They are very instinctually controlled dogs. Once their switch flips, you have to kill them or practically kill them to get their attention.
They just go full auto and it's "Katy bar the door!"
No way should they be put in the domestic pet category. Anyone who keeps one of this breed in the house with his family is just nuts.

Now, everybody who owns pitbulls will come on and tell us how sweet their pitbull is, and it would never do that, and it plays with their kids all the time and never bites, etc. etc. But, I am telling you that it can be that way for a long time, and then one day change in the blink of an eye with devastating consequences. It's like having a hand grenade laying around with the pin pulled, and a little metal burr holding the handle in place. Then, one day, a little vibration causes the burr to bend and BLAMM, your kid suddenly has no arm on one side or his face is gone. It's happened over and over and over and over.....Do yourselves a favor, get a breed of dog that doesn't have this genetic probability.

Right, the dog also planned it thoroughly. Man, have you completely lost it? I am surprised you didn't say the dog raped the baby.

Sounds a lot like what the lawyer in The Green Mile had to say about adopted stray dogs and "colored" folks.

Are pit bulls more prone to attack than other breeds? Yeah, I'd have to say so.

But, any dog can be "trained" to be vicious. It depends on the dog, it depends on the breed, and it even depends on the owner.

I've met yellow labs that would tear the side of your face off.

I've met pit bulls that are sweet as can be.

I had a cocker spaniel that was fearless. He loved people but he simply hated other dogs when I was around. If he didn't think I was around, he'd play very nicely with other dogs. However, as soon as he noticed me around, he got very violent and didn't really give a crap how big the other dog was. He was lightning fast and more times than not, was trying to snap the neck of a dog before that dog even figured out what was going on -- and we're talking BIG dogs.

I never beat the dog. I never encouraged him to fight. I didn't train him to guard the house, etc. I couldn't figure out what was wrong.

The vet and I figured that since I made the mistake of not socializing him as a pup, that he considered any other dog to be a threat toward me, and he was doing his best to protect me. But, by the time I moved from the country to the city (he was four years old), it was too late to modify his behavior.

When Oscar passed, and we got Sam, our springer, a year ago, as soon as the vet said it was safe to do so, we had him over at the dog park and started socializing him with other dogs. This guy gets along great with people and with dogs, and I'm thrilled because I didn't repeat the mistake.

But, the point is that any dog can be a problem dog.

I agree, coming from an area that people raise them for.."protection" of thier families[ mostly of weed crops and meth houses]..not as pets for the family...I have no use for them.. there record stands for itself..we have had several children and adults mauled severely or killed by them and several were the family raised dog who had never bitten anyone....they are no diff. in my book from roosters raised to fight...thats what they do like it or not..just hope they dont snap on you or your kids [V] Loko

The dog is not dead yet from the Drudgereport story I read. When someone tried to separate the two the dog fled with it's victim still attached. The kid is under intensive care with rescontructive surgery to repair the stabbing damage to his anus.

Beastiality online is likely a quit way to make money for crack heads. My $1 is on the probability that the parents were trying to make a buck when it all went bad with alot of blood and the kid about dead.

Ok we all know the, shall we say "other" danger of having a Pit Bull unattended around a child, so the fact that this, shall we say "perfectly within tha animals nature" event occured is totally the blame of the parent...
Heck even a Beagle might have been enticed!!!!

If you can go to jail for leaving a loaded gun within the reach of a child, then why shouldn't you be jailed for leaving a loaded Pit Bull within the reach of a a child!

yep... it's a sexual assault, it was sexual in nature, like when a dog humps your leg. obviously not pre-planned (duuhhh) but, yep, I'd call it a rape.

I wouldn't put that in the same category as "a dog snapping on its owners". its owners are one thing, but the small, funny looking smelly thing crawling around that its owners also own isn't looked upon the same way by the dog. I think what's going on is, what would have been its instinct to do -assault or show dominance over the toddler- was in check by the owners, so when they left the room, the dog decided to go for it. I don't think it would have done that to its owners. my point being, it's not about "snapping on its owners", it's a different problem.

yes, that would be to say that the dog would have been inclined to hurt the kid somehow sooner or later. still, that's different. it doesn't see kids as its owners.

it's ridiculous to say "gee, now we see how pit bulls really are! golly, they'd butt rape a small child, better watch out". like the cop handling the case said, "I have never, ever heard of an assault quite like that".

what happened here is not good. this does not apply to pit bulls in general.

For years I have said that no matter how much your dog acts like just another family member who wears a fur coat all the time, it is not and can never be. You are putting yourself and family at possibly great risk if you start believing your dog is just another family member.

This is not to dispute that there are some dogs you can trust your life with. But until you find out the hard way, nobody can postively tell one kind of dog from another.

    I fixed it for ya.
Some "parents" neeed to be drug around town from the bumper of a truck till they quit breathin, that might prevent sick schit like this from happening.
