I know GB was only one of many sites that made this possible...but I wanted to say thank you to the forum for giving me a way to participate in the "Zumboing" of this zidiot.

I wish there was one place where we could reach everyone at once. I guess as of now the best bet is to be a member of as many forums as possible and hopefully people will remain proactive. We won't always have the divisive factor of Zumbo stepping on his dick to inflame us. We need to be just as upset over incrementalism as we were over Zumbo's remarks.

Where was the outcry when two GOP reps decided to introduce a bill to close the "gunshow loophole?"

It is important to realize that this outcry (mass emailing) was totally subject oriented. Politics, political affiliations, etc. were not an issue. Guns were the issue. If we can put aside our personal ties to specific political parties, elected officials or candidates and mass our resources to attack the "subject" (gun control) with the politicians, we can have an effect.

The ability to "click on a link" and immediately type a response or retort makes communication to the intended person (or company) easy. We like to do it the easy way. It will be interesting to see if we can be motivated in the future to respond adequately concerning legislation. It is a numbers game in many cases.

Great link! I've been looking for something like that. I'm fixing to shoot letters off and try and rattle cages. All my friends and family around me here in Texas have agreed to sign and send them. We have to start doing something.

"Now, the real question is whether we can generate that kind of response when we need to defeat a gun ban. Can we melt down mail servers of elected representatives the way gun owners hammered the servers at various companies?"

    Lord I hope so.

IMHO - Timing of the communications is very important. It is vital that we, the masses, communicate at the right point in time to have the desired effect.
