  Well best way to find Black talons is to look on the auction side as selling is not allowed here. The next best option is to buy Winchester Ranger (SXT I believe) ammo as it is the "improved" version of the BT with a more friendly name.
  
  My option is to buy Corbon ammo. It has served me very well. I have used it to put down injured animals many times. I feel very comfortable using it for self defense.

  Be prepared to pay about $2.00 per round. The Black Talons, which are no longer made, had nickel cases with the black anodized bullet.
  
  A lot of sellers are selling Win Ranger SXT ammo, which is currently made, as "Black Talons". They are similar bullets, but are not actually "Black Talons".

  I thought they were Moly coated (or was it Teflon?). They ain't cheap to pop off.
