Mad tennis ball bomber
I heard on the news this AM about a man here in CT,New Haven I think, who was tossing a tennis ball around with his kids.Threw one over his daughters head and when it hit the ground it blew up.This is the fourth time I have heard similar stories, 2 involved dogs, both being killed when the ball exploded the other was the ball being missed hitting the ground and blowing up.This is in about a 2 year period.Anybody else hear any of this sort of thing?

I know if you put gun powder and "strike anywhere" match heads in a tennis ball and throw it against a hard surface, it'll blow up. 0 -

Thank God, I didn't know about that one when I was eleven years old.0 -

Back a few years (at least four) in Portland, Oregon (or there abouts) people taking their dogs out for walks and they'd come across a tennis ball (or a duct-taped Tennis ball). Not thinking much about it they play "fetch" sometimes the ball blew up on the ground sometimes in the dog's mouth. I'd say it's done by some dude who's tired of stepping in dog doodoo while jogging. No different than some @$$ neighbor feeding barking dogs meatballs with rat poison. 0
