Black Roses....
quote:Chinese crestes are a wonderful breed, they are extremely loyal, very very loving, very gentle, and they love to smile (least ours do..give you a real toothy grin)...We have 6 puppies now, with another litter due any day...there are the powder puffs (have fur) and the nakeds...fur only on head and tip of tail with a bit on the feet....the nakeds are more than the puffs but the temperment is the same...the fur on the powder puff is not really fur, its so soft and stays that way all thru the adult life...I love the cresteds, prefer them to yorkies any day....
Don't want to hijack the other thread on fleas with this. How much should I expect to pay for a Chinese Crested? Been looking around this area, but can't find a breeder close. Everything I have read on them is exactly what you said. One question that I have not seen answered though. We already have one dog...a Shetland Sheepdog. Best dog I have ever been around. He is getting up in age though, and slowing WAY down. Vet told us that another young dog would probably help "liven" him up some, give him his "own" pet, so to speak. Our Shelty has no problem getting on with other animals. Our cats share his foot bowl and crawl all over him. He is fine with them, and they with him. But how is a Crested with other animals? Do that adapt fairly well?
