Just curious as to how many here enjoy the sport of golf? I for one, like to golf.

I can't say whether I like Golf or not because I have not tried it yet[:p] 0 -
Have never played. I want to start playing but since I've gone this far without it it's now a matter of pride to stay away. Plus, I don't have the time as it is to hunt, fish, and shoot as much as I'd like so why start something else. 0 -
There was an article about this just a week or so ago. Only 12% of Americans play golf. 0 -

Well i golf 3-4 times a week. Im on my 3rd iron set this year. I love it. Its a place where i worry about nothing. 0 -

It's always appeared extremely boring to me and knowing myself I would be bored. I tried it once and don't see the attraction/draw. But then that's how it is with me and any game involving a ball. Or any game for that matter. Can't get past the idea that they're all invented. Must come from the fact that no one in my extended family is remotely interested in organized games, sports. We never went out for anything in high school. Couldn't get past the strange clothes, uniforms. And, nobody (coaches) besides my Dad, unless an employer or military, was ever gonna yell at me. Always had jobs and cars in high school. I am absolutely baffled by the attention and money that sports get worldwide. Guess I'm an outsider looking in. But, I'll tell ya, I hope as many people as possible are watching golf, football, or whatever this fall on TV so that the fields are less crowded when I'm hunting! But, I admire people who play games vs. watch sombody else do it. Playing isn't as cheap as watching. Guess I'm just odd but I'm comfortable with it.
Same with playing cards, etc. Always just so boring to me. I've just never needed time fillers. That's just me and I'm just a grain of sand in this mess.0 -

Golf is for sissies. Go shoot sporting clays, it is like golf with a shotgun and is much more fun than hitting a little ball. 0 -
i golfed one time, we had to walk to 18 holes, its was ok, i think i shot above the course limit, it was fun, but i wouldnt ever do it again. 0 -

I have played golf 2 times in my life. From that meager experience I have found that its more enjoyable if you make it a team game and play best ball (especially if most of the players are golf novices).0 -
i love it!! fills my time between hunting seasons! someone mentioned Sporting clays instead of golf, i say its better to do both. 0 -

I grew up on a course, and played quite a bit. I never really cared for it, I just did it because it was the "cool" thing to do. That lasted until I was about 16, and I've probably played it 5 times since then. I'm glad golf is behind me. Fishing/Hunting is much more rewarding.

I was talked into trying it.. bought some clubs and played a few times. I beat some veteran players and they didn't like that !! I would let out a hollar when I made a nice shot. Not appropriate. Who cares...Guess the game wasn't for me. Sold the clubs. What I couldn't understand was why the other players hardly ever wrote down the right amount of strokes it took them to put the ball in the hole..... Hey.. That was a 5.. leave me see your scorecard..[:o)][:o)] It looks like you can't count and wrote a 4 [:o)][:o)] 0 -
The first time I ever played golf I was with my Dad when I was fourteen, I shot four under par and Dad thought I was a prodigy. He took me constantly and gave me tips on improving my game and technique. The harder I tried the worse I got, I haven't played since I was sixteen.
It was fun when I was ignorant of the proper stance and the correct clubs to use, once I had to concentrate and think about what I was doing it took the joy right out of it.0
