99.9999999999999999% SCAM. Dont' give them your SS number. Call the IRS direct to find out if you want to know for sure......[xx(][xx(]

Did you file a return showing a refund due? Did you let the IRS calculate your taxes on your return? They don't just give money away without somebody asking for it. I'll go out on a very sturdy limb here and say 100% SCAM. 0 -
Here's what I would recommend, as it is obvious that this isn't a Nigerian scam, rather, it is an IRS sting operation.
1. Complete the forms as requested.
2. Send me your guns for safe keeping. I'll return them to you in 15-30, after you're no longer a guest at Hotel America.0 -
I get the same thing, often, sometimes two in a row...even though I've had no tax obligation for about 16yrs.. 0 -
I've gotten dozens of them, all for differing amounts.
I gotta admit, it takes huge balls of steel to spoof the IRS.

The IRS can't seem to get the hang of the post office thing let alone that new fangled electronic mail thing. 0
