With a username like winM70, what the heck are you doing looking at that thing??
    Get a Savage in .22-250, or find a pre-64 Win 70.
    Just my .02.

My wife has an NEF SS/Syth in .243. It'll shoot 1 1/2" all day (as long as I do my part). If you shoot better than me, which is entirely possible, you could do better yet. The only thing that surprised me was the trigger. I put a trigger pull gage to it last week and it broke consistantly at 3 1/2 to 3 lbs.

the ones i've shot were 223 and 243 but they shoot ok. way more scope than needed. forgive the improper typing-i've got a sick 2 year old on my lap.

My son's 243 and 7mm/08 NEF's are very good shooters. Some people report problems with the "skinny" barrelled 243's and only opt for the target barrel. Hasn't been a problem for us. IMHO, Handi's are the best, by far, value out there in an inexpensive rifle. If you want to "gun up", send your receiver and forearm in and have another barrel mounted. Cost app. $100 to do that. You might look around though...here $289 is kinda expensive. Can find them most places for anywhere from $199 to $249...depending on how close it is to hunting season. That is with no scope however.
