Thought I'd pass this tip along. This is pretty neat "free" software that will analyze your computer and give you detailed info about your hardware and software plus other things.

The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, missing Microsoft hotfixes, anti-virus status, CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmarks, and displays the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server.

Takes just a few seconds to download and run.

    Neat analysis, but I can't do a thing with it since I reformatted my hard drive and when I reinstalled my OS Microsoft in their omnipotent wisdom decided my authentic version of XP was bogus and the only thing it will let me download is their validating crap.
