It should come with the software you need. Put the software on your computer then just start downloading your compact disc's into your system.

Should i make a step by step screenshot movie thingy on how to use limewire? isnt hard really, just a few quirks that get annoying.

or if you have email, i can send you a few songs if i haev them, if not i can download them i suppose

I used to use limewire about 8 or 9 years ago when I had a 486 computor and downloading songs took forever.

I just downloaded the Limwire Basic and will play arround a little on it. It looks almost the same as it did 8 years ago.

They call that "stealing" in KY.

Won't work with an I-Pod, but with any "non-Apple" music players, www.spiralfrog.com is a free music download service that supports itself by ads. I have had it for a month now, and no problems, and a pretty good song list to boot.

    It isnt stealing.

Actually, somewhere on their site is where I read how to do it.

Its a program, you can download it, fair game.

If you're circumventing their rules that say you have to pay for Pro, then yep, it IS stealing. Now you are just trying to cover your butt. Read what you originally posted. Oh heck, I will paste it for you....

The emphasis is mine, but clearly your intent, especially since it was followed by two of these ([:D][:D]), was to insinuate that you can get something for free that you are supposed to pay for. Sorry kid. But that is stealing, anyway you look at it. Just another life lesson to be learned.

    Sorry kid, its not.

If your so hip on "stealing" you had better not be downloading music.

Oh well, i dont care. I do, ive got a good 300 songs I have downloaded of my own, and my brothers / dad have another 700..

i have an ipod nano(2g) that isnt even half full.

i use i tunes(the provided software) to download the songs i want, which cost apx 99c a piece.

you can download any number of programs, either paid or free, to get songs then crossdeck them into itunes and load onto your ipod. just depends on whether you want to be honest, or a 15 year old thief.

I don't have any of them, and don't want any of them.
I don't have to be worried about free, or pay!
Geez,.......your home, or in your car with a CD player I presume.
Nowadays folks have to have crap pumped into their ears 24/7 it seems.[xx(]

Sorry. If you don't like it, turn them off in your profile. There! Problem solved for you! Anything else I can do?

kevd18...try that spiralfrog link I posted earlier. Still not sure if it works with an ipod or not, but the program download is free and all the songs are free. I will have to try it with my son's and see if it works. It does with my creative labs player. Since it is free, you don't have to worry about stealing anything. Like some we are now aware of.

im ok with sticking with itunes for the simple fact that i know im never going to download a virus, or a song in a format i cant use or have really any problems what soever. to me, thats worth a buck a song. thanks for the refferal though.

All the music on my computer has been bought and paid for, ALL OF IT. Some from itunes, some from napster, some of spiralfrog, and lots that I have the CDs or albums (you know, those big round things that were around before you were born) that I BOUGHT and OWN. I'm not "hip" on stealing, but I do know the difference between right and wrong. And taking a program that is intended to be purchased and using it for free is stealing. Guess you haven't covered "intelletual property rights" in school yet. Then you even admit to it:

quote:im just not paying for songs i listen to once in a blue moon

Just another punk who wants what isn't theirs and sees no reason they should be denied the right to use it just "because." You just don't have the balls, or maybe the morals, to admit that you are stealing. When you "grow up," I bet you will be one of those folks who rents a car just to trash it also.
