New addition to the family...

Here is "Sally", my daughters new dog. We have had her for a little over a week. Took my girl to the pound and this is what she picked out. I figured she would want some "fru-fru" dog to lug around all day. But no...My baby picks a dog that has a RED BONE COONHOUND for a mom and a BOXER for a daddy! Oh well...she has been great so far.

    I agree with that! I understand that some want a pure-breed dog (we have a pure Sheltie), but for just a pet, why not a pound dog? This one cost $99 to adopt, but that was including all shots for the first year and having her spayed when she is old enough. All vet appt's. are already scheduled for that. So...basically free. The pound here is great. They called after 5 days to make sure she was doing OK and adjusting. Said they would take her back and refund my money if we or the pup weren't happy. No way daughter is letting her go back!

    Cute dog, he has a good bloodline I used to coon hunt almost every night I had off. There smart dogs, I have a Boxer and three Dobermans of the war dog breed. He is the only one that would not bite a stranger, Ive got pictures of him licking the kittens my sister saved last week. BTW my yard is fenced in with 4ft chainlink fence. We have a buzzer at the front gate for when company comes I can get the dogs.

    It is a "Nutro Max Puppy Drumstick." Or what is left of one! She had just come in from doing her "business" and was enjoying her treat! She has been quick to learn about this pooping and peeing stuff. As long as the door is open and she can see out, she will stand there and whine to go out. If the door is closed though, better keep an eye on her!
