I'm ready to sell some guns, have questions
My wife and I are building a new house and I need to sell some guns of mine. I live in Ky. If I list them on gunbroker, how much should I charge for shipping of handguns or long guns? I have no ffl in my area willing to help with shipping so I will be shipping myself. Thanks in advance.

get ready to be raped by ups or fedx. on shipping the handguns [:(!][:(!] 0 -
Handgun shipping costs for individuals are outrageous. Be sure to mention in your auction copy.
UPS and FedEx both require overnight shipping to keep their employees from stealing!0 -
What about listing them as pickup only? Would that work? 0 -
Be sure the buyers ffl will accept guns from an non=ffl. Some won't. 0 -

yeah but then you lose the benefit of a nationwide auction. I'm not going to drive from WA state to wherever you are to pick it up.0 -
I wouldn't have anything listed about pick up...if they are local to you they usually ask about that themselves. You are looking at $35 for shipping using UPS or Fed Ex on handguns....and you can ship a long gun by ground so it is anywhere from $18 an up depending on the size of the box.
The only problem I see you may have is with UPS or Fed Ex....I shipped a box not long ago and the UPS pick up call I made was a tedious nightmare. The woman WAS NOT going to ship my package because it was a gun. It took forever and ever being put on hold over and over again. She finally did what she was supposed to....only because I am a dealer and have a license. I would definately TAKE your packages to a shipping place...not pick up.0 -

If it was only $35 I would consider that a bargain. It cost me almost $60 to ship a Super Blackhawk...0 -
WOW!
I would just list...."buyer pays actual shipping cost"...it covers everything and you can call at the auction end to get prices on shipping.
$60...that is crazy!0 -
forkliftking...where are you located in KY? I am there too, and have a great FFL I use that will help you out. 0 -
Your shipping for handguns can be SECOND DAY AIR- adult signature required. Go to the UPS website, and price it out. It DO get a tad pricy, but is better than overnight. Better yet, use the "find a FFL" function on home page- THEY can use US Mail. May be cheaper to pay FFL to ship for you than ship yourself. 0 -
