Maybe I heard wrong, and he meant $149 for tickets for him and his wife.
I saw Buffett one spring break down on the beach in Galveston. Everyone was drunk and singing along. That one is in my top three concert experiences.[:D]0 -

Favorite Buffet song line:
"I'd rather die while I'm livin' than live like I'm dead"

I got info on them early with my Astros season tickets. Club level seats were $126 each! I think the "cheap" seats were $66, then $86. I like Jimmy, but i could buy 4 seats to go see him for a couple of hours or a roundtrip airline ticket to Hawaii to see my son, his wife and my granddaughter for a week! 0 -
Wildman,
Don't forget to add the service charges in, they add another 12-15 bucks per ticket.0 -

Favorite Buffet song is 'One Particular Harbor'0 -
I've noticed he is very popular with the Homosexual crowd, any reasons for this? I haven't noticed any gay references in his lyrics... 0 -
I have been to about 15 of his concerts and have never seen any homos.
I have seen alot of drunken people and alot of naked women, but not even one homo.
maybe it is just in Seattle that this is the case.0 -

I've never noticed any gayness at his shows; however, his original "margaritaville" restaurant is on Key West.
His shows are fun. I like The Great Filling Station Holdup.

I'm not talking about the flaming ones, but the ones that are older, closeted and often married. You know the secret queer union members...0 -
Oh the secret queer older union crowd.......
They may be there,
But They have the girls with bare breasts with them as cover.0 -
he used to put on a FREE concert on mud island in Memphis.
You could not imagne the drunk naked women.
seems like every one their had a bottle of Jagermister (is that correct spelling), sence he did the concert free the city wood ship in palm trees and sand, was pretty cool.0 -
not trying to hijack the thread (it was a serious question though), I hope you find someone to take the tickets off your Hand... try Houston Craigslist... 0 -
muss, you should be able to even make some money on those tickets. buffett shows sell out in about an hour, so you're lucky to have them.

Muss, maybe your secretary was hoping you would take her and her friends to the Concert[8D]0 -
FishBen,
I live in Pa. these tickets were bought by mistake, my secretary was trying to get tickets for Pittsburgh. You would think the tickets would sell fast, I have even had them on ebay for under face value. I just hope to unload them before the show.
Now the tickets for Pittsburgh, the are selling like hotcakes for way over face value, thank god I got mine from ticketmaster.0 -

When I lived in Memphis (in the mid to late 80's), Buffet came a couple of times and played Mud Island, but the tickets sure weren't free! And yes, they had sand and palm trees, but the promoters put it there. It was covered by the price of the ticket! Seems like I paid $20 or $25 per ticket. As I said, that was in the mid-80's. Kinda steep then! But it was worth it! Never seem so many uncovered tata's in my life at one place! My wife's stayed covered though. [:D]0 -
Usually go in NJ but tickets are absolutely ridiculous now. The tailgating is better than the concert anyway. 0 -
See with all those fond memories, someone must want my tickets for Houston. 0 -
