So last night after my Dicks episode I was talking to a few buddies about ammo laws. Where I live you need to be 18 to buy rifle and shotgun ammo and 21 to buy handgun ammo. So the question arose as to ammo that fits both. There are lever action 357/38's and there are Judges which hold 410's as well as pistol AR's. Apparently there are some towns that will not sell interchangeable ammo to any one under 21. Guess I never really thought of it that way. Thoughts?

Anybody hear of 9mm Largo? 0 -
Took some Winchester 357 in on trade and wondered what it is called. It has a very bright silver hollow point bullet with about 6 small slits in the end at the hollow point. Seems to have a lot of punch judging by the recoil. The bullets are bright enough to be chrome plated. 0 -
I have used there .270 winchester and except for being alittle dirty it was not bad. Had good groups and no hang fire or flyers 0 -
I shoot it out of my 243 on occasions. Groups really well (1"). Quite the bargan as far as ammo is concerned. 0 -

Gosh, I think about anything you shoot in a .30-30 would be okay. Great brush rifle, not known for long distance accuracy anyway. I love my '94 and it'll eat about anything reliably.
You are right on it being short distance.
I sight it in 1" high at 100 yards and figure myself about 2 1/2" low at 200 yards.
I use my Marlin for deer hunting and am going to go tomarow and sight it in (it should still be right there as it has not moved since hunting season last year).
As soon as school starts I will go sight in my winchester muzzleloader, and I am currently looking at buying a crossbow (I cannot use a regular bow because of all the metal in my elbow that does not allow my right arm to straighten out all the way).
I'm mainly going out tomarrow to let the kids shoot for a bit as they really have not got to do much shooting this summer.0 -
GRD...I have used it, but my old Marlin likes the 150 grain better. Don't know why, but it does. Might have to crank it out this year. It hasn't shot a deer in going on 15 years. Been using my sons 243 and 7mm-08. 0
