Now since I am doing AR stuff lets do it all.
I decided to get a new scope for my target AR and when it showed up I could not get it far enough forward for my eye so I got a GGG adapter. I also needed to get new rings since the scope I got is a 30mm vs 1" I needed new rings. I found a nice set of used NF ones at the local gun shop, problem is they were kinda greyish color. Well after another Midway order (I have had several lately) I picked up some Matte Black DuraBake. The DuraBake seems to come out kinda runny and then after baking had a real dull finish. A little clean up with some CLP and they look great. FYI do not do this in your oven when your wife/GF will be home any time soon [:p]. Now it is all mounted up an ready to go, now I just need to get some trigger time on it. The scope is an IOR 4-14x50mm with an MP8 dot reticule in it.

Ok now when I first saw the KNS spade grips I thought they were pretty cheesey since they had them set up on an M16A1 with a bipod in the front and a 20rd mag in the gun. Then a few people bought them and got creative and I decided that I needed one too. This pick is of misc parts I had to set something up to get a pic and a feel for the gun. I am going to put a 24" flat top heavy bbl with a JP muzzle brake on the end and cutting down the pistol grip. Right now I just have my A2 upper on it.

    Tripod mounted bayonet!!

Just when ya think you've seen everything.

Never cared for collapsable stocks myself, probably because I never had to switch back and forth from being big and tall wearing body armor to short and skinny in a t-shirt, but hey, whatever floats yer boat.

(Nice collection you got going there!)

Well I got the idea from the History Channel. They were showing the fully loaded M4 with thermal sights, wired into a helmet, you can see to shoot over/around cover, every battery operated gizmo you could think of on it and for some reason they still had a bayonet attached to it. So I had to leave mine on for the pic too.

I am hit or miss on them. On the compact rifles I do like the looks of them better and they are nice because you can loose a couple inches in length when transporting them. This one happens to be a 6 position stock but for me there are really 2 positions, shooting or transporting. They can be nice for shooting in the winter when wearing heavy clothing too. On standard rifles I do prefer a solid stock. This one is very solid and that is one of the 2 reasons I like it. The second reason is that butt plate is very non slip and makes for solid placement.

Thanks I have been working on it for a while. I currently own 7, but one of them is selling here on GB now. I have 2-3 more that will be replacing it. I have a Target, Late A1, A2, Shorty (shown in the pic is my main shooter other then the target), Colt (the one selling), a OA pistol, and now the DPMS lower that is going to get the heavy upper.
I am looking at an early model Colt SP1 (since the price is right) to add, then I would like to get an M4 (just to show each evolution), and I am working on building a suppressed 9mm gun since it is easy to suppress and cheep to shoot.

Here is the wall taken prior to the new up date:

And for some reason you seem to think I don't [:D][:D][:D]. That pice of brass "hanging" out of my nose is the only thing I don't like about that pic. It is the only one with that much brass in the air though. We did get the gun a bit warm though.

Now rack it up on a jeep and go play "Rat Patrol"!

    For you youngsters out there:

"Notice I left the bayonet off."

    Darn!

It'd be good for those drive-by bayonetings the liberals were determined to prevent by banning bayonet lugs.
