    Why not? Like is says it is a NFA registered AOW. That is what I wat but in 12 ga with hammers, just havent found one yet.

    if you did it yourself, no. But as Nwcid pointed out, it is a NFA weapon, classified as "Any Other Weapon", with a special $5 transfer tax stamp attached

    Yes you can make them yourself. You just have to get a Form 1 approved prior to building it.

    If you look you will see the guns look the same but in the eyes of the ATF they are different.

    The one listed in the auction is registed as a AOW (Any Other Weapon) which are far harder to come by. For an AOW the gun could never have been built into a rifle or shotgun.

    The guns that are being sold on that link are SBS (Short BBL Shotguns) which are very easy to come by. To get an SBS you take any old shotgun and cut the BBLs off and put a pistol grip on it.

    Of coures to do eitehr set up you will need to fill out the proper ATF forms. Although they are the same thing they are LEGALY different. Where I live, WA state, we can not have SBS but we are allowed to have AOW's.
