  you know, i really want to like nascar, i really do, but i just cant sit there and watch them go in circles, i watched em for a couple laps one time, that was about it.

  You know, I am KINDA there with you. To me the problem isn't the endless left turns. It's how dang long the races are! In a 500 mile race, the beginning is OK, the middle is nap time, and during the last 100 miles things get really interesting. If it were up to me, I would shorten every 500 mile race to 300 miles. That way every lap is important and a driver couldn't just hang back in the middle of a race and try to stay out of trouble.
