Thinking about selling/trading an AR
I have a pre94 Colt Sporter ll that I have shot very little and haven't shot in years. It is the lightweight 16" bbl, A2 with fixed stock. I have the box and original 2- 10 rd mags (unused) and paperwork for the gun.
After posting a pic of my A1 the other day I got to thinking. I have an A1, A2, target, pistol, a 9mm/40 on order. Then I have my EA Corp A2 heavy short (16") bbl which is my main go to AR, and my Colt. The only real reason I hold on to the Colt is that it is a Colt. I like my EA which is very similar to an M4. I am not an M4 fan but I have been thinking about getting one. I picked up the A1 to fill a missing point in my collection as part of history. While there are many M4's around right now I am wondering if it would be smart to sell/trade my Colt in on an M4. Most likely the M4 would not be a Colt, but probably a Bushmaster. Any thoughts or ideas to help out. I mainly shoot my target and EA corp AR's but the others get shot every once in a while.

I'll trade ya my 92 Saturn SL2 5 speed for an AR. It'd be a nice present to give Crystal for her birthday. 0 -

Keep the Colt. You will never forgive yourself if you say bye to it.0 -
Cash it in.
If you want a 16" iron sighted AR, get a Dissipator style upper with maximum sight radius.
Better yet get one with a pop up sight on both ends and a Picatinny rail and a Vortex flash surpressor.
I too favor a very accurate 16" barrel on a flat topped upper that I lightened under the handguard over a featherwt barrel on an iron sighted upper.
Sooner or later,I'm going to evaluate and reduce my four uppers to one 5.56 and one 6mmx45.0 -
hmmm.... i might have something to trade, check out my "giveaway" post. hehehehe 0 -
why not just pick up a new Colt m-4 upper and sell off (or keep[:D]) your current upper?? 0 -

That is actually a good thought but then you have a mixed and match with the wrong markings on the lower. Also mine has the fixed stock, yeah I know I can replace it too.0 -
You will love that Bushmaster, Ive seen to many on the range take alot of abuse and keep on going with out a glitch. All the good folks here have told me when buying an AR-15, stick to your A's, B's C's D's and Rock River. 0 -

My Varminiter and A2 are both Bushmaster. My Varminiter is an awsome shooting gun, one of the best $1000 I have spend on a gun.0
