Century Arms Waterheads
How can a company like CAI make so many mistakes?
I just received my 308 ammo that I was told on the phone was dated 1989 +/- a few years when I ordered.
What I received was 308 ammo dated 1967,1968,1970
Also just the other day they were advertising 30-06 M1 carbines.
Everyone knows they are chambered for the 30 carbine round.
How do these waterheads make it through the day.
Or is is cleverly intentional?

Heard too many bad things about them here, and other places,.........that is why I ordered a Vector Arms AKM.
Sorry to hear that MVP.[xx(]0 -
It shouldn't be that big of a problem but I have to wonder how I could know what the date of manufacture was within 3 seconds of opening the box and CAI had had this ammo in their wharehouse, some 3 million rounds+ and they don't know what date it is.
Also if they don't know the date I wish they wouldn't just make one up like 1989.
I have heard from several people that they also received late 60s man. dates.0 -
Another possible explanation,......they are in South Florida![:D]
Sure some of the GB guys will love that comment.[8D]0 -

the people in charge there, prob. have no idea what their even selling. Let-alone what the DOM's are... Salespeople, are not allways "GUN-people"..SADLY!0 -
Actually the sales people are in South FL BUT the warehouse from where it all comes from is in Vermont! IF you want anything from CIA, order it from SOG (Southern Ohio Gun) because SOG gets first pick and actually sells it at the same price or sometimes a bit cheaper than CIA. I have dealt a lot with CIA, a buddy of mine (now deceased) averaged over 60K a year with CIA. He got good stuff BUT not all of us can afford 60K a year with ONE distributer in military surplus. CIAs warehouse has stuff in it that they have probably forgotten about IMHO. 0 -
The big reason I order from CAI on large orders of ammo is the fact that anything over $500 gets free shipping. If you know of another place that does that I would like to know. 0
