    Snatching people off elephant backs apparently.[:D].I hate that happened but good lord man,out of nowhere,no provocation,over an elephant head and all the guy had was a stick.

    I have ridden elephants in Eastern Asia and never even thought about that occurring.
    And we saw several Tigers.

    fascinating book about tigers is man-eaters of the kumaon...by jim corbett who tells of his experiences as a hunter in india after tigers that had taken to killing people ...one had taken over 500 humans....

    turns out he only lost 3 finger, although they may have to amputate his left palm if a gangrene sets in... all they had were dart guns and guns firing blanks.... apparently they were looking for this tiger 'cause it wondered out of a park and killed 2 cows..... well they found what they were looking for.
    And the elephant saved the riders lives, apparently the tiger knocked 2 of them off with one swipe, but the elephant pinned the tiger with its foot, but the tiger was able to escape.
