Got a new one

Got me a Para Carry 12 today.Can`t wait to get it out and shoot,but first a trip to the cop shop for the safety check. Well,thats what they call it anyway.Half the time the officer checking the gun doesn`t even know how it works.How can they determine it`s"safe"? Yeah,I know it ain`t about safety.

    Just picked up my first Freedom arms model 83 in 454 casull. It was also my first buy off Gun broker. Can't wait to go shoot it

    Safety check? why don't you just bring it to a gun smith and let him check it. Hope you didn't buy a gun with a broken safety.[:D] Congrats on your new piece![:)]

    Where do you live that they require a safety check?

    Safety check is required by law here in Michigan. It has nothing to do with safety and everything to do with registration.You must take it to the cop shop to have it inspected. More than once I had to show the officer at the window how to release the slide when they pull it back.
