Third time's charm ...
I picked up a BOHICA M16-SA pre-ban lower a while back and finally decided to put a fluted stainless 1/8 barrel on it ... but was kind of wanting the Dissipater look.
I ordered a DPMS flat top with a float hand guard ... it had the 7" on it but once I got it that looked too short as it revealed the gas-block. So I ordered a full-length fluted hand guard ... didn't like it either, it covered the gas block but also too much of the barrel.
Finally found a midi-tube from RRA. Its not the Dissipater look I was going for but I like it ... only wish it was fluted.
The stock is from my SiG-556, since I'm using an Aimpoint, and it has the battery storage compartment it seemed to make sense

hmmm...the evil black rifle is still just the evil black rifle to me. I haven't yet come to understand the finer points of the EBR aesthetics.
Don't get me wrong, I'd like one. But I'm gonna be like the geek with a skateboard who doesn't really get what makes the thing cool or not when I do get (my first) one.
Give it a while, I'll learn.0
