If You Had To Choose....Handgun vs Longun ?

if you could only shoot one for the rest for the rest of yoru life would you choose rifles or handguns ?

    Never take a pistol to a rifle match.


    Clint Eastwood is the only one that i know of that took a pistol to a rifle match and won. But that was only because he cheated by wearing a steel plate.[:(!]


    Still a good movie though.[^]

    Handguns for sure as I don't have much of an interest in rifles overall.

    The only advantage that a handgun has over a long gun is portability- all other aspects: power, range, accuracy the long guns have the advantage- so since I can only pick one- It is long guns

    For me, 41 mag. Understand that I shoot and hunt with revolvers; therefore, I am very comfortable taking care of my shooting needs with a good revolver.

    I agree with the contender idea. I can mount my 10" .22 lr, 14" .223, or 16" 45-70 and be good to go. I have a few more, but am far from the 50 different barrels mentioned. Can't beat something that allows for a 45-70 down to a .22 LR.[8D]

    GOOD IDEA FOR A THREAD.

    There are a lot of ideas and so far, no fights.
