Suppressor ? barrel length vs noise suppression

    Well it makes good sense to me. The longer the BBL the less unburned powder, the less flash, the less noise. With the short just the oppisit is true.

    For the longer BBL there will be less noise to be suppressed. Another point would be how fast the bullet is traveling. I know it makes a difference in .22 as many rounds that are supersonic in a rifle are not in a pistol. I know in short BBL's the .223 is going way slower too, but I am sure is it still supersonic.

    I have heard that it is bad to shoot suppressors on the really short AR BBL's as there is so much unburned powder and increased pressure.
