I thought it wasn't possible to suppress a semi-auto. I thought you'd get too much bang out of the ejection chamber.

I guess I'm wrong? Somebody educate me.

Anyway, it looks cool and fun.

I think you may be thinking about revolvers. Yes you can put a suppressor on them but there is a gap between the forcing cone and the BBL, and yes I know there is a revolver out there that the cylinder moves up tight. Autos suppress fairly well but you do get some action noise but they are still very (not movie) quiet. Same goes for semi auto rifles. Any gun that keeps the action closed while suppressed using sub sonic ammo will be the quietest. On my Ruger 77/22 using sub sonic ammo the noise is less then dry firing since you don't get that metal on metal rattle.

Here is a link of me shooting a P22 with a very similar suppressor (different maker). I have been using this can on my P22. There are also some other good videos on that link of suppressed gun.

Just about any firearm can be suppressed! The big thing now, especially with law enforcment is suppressing their M4's and Sniper rifles. This is not to make the shots totally quite, but to eliminate as much of the noise from firing a round as possible. They do not even use subsonic ammo! The suppressors purpose is to reduce the sound from the combustion of the round and hide muzzle flash. Unless using subsonic ammo you will not be able to do anything about the sound generated from the bullet crossing the sonic barrier, but you can eliminate about all of the shot noise. We hell, here is a link to check out Surefire's Suppressors!

Had it almost 2yrs now and love it. I have not really compared it side by side to any other cans but it works very well for me. I have 6 guns that I can use it on right now.

Thanks. The video was fun too. You're right.....I had my head on backwards on my original post and was thinking of revolvers being more difficult to suppress.
