Ok there is something I fear here in Oregon. Too many fires going right now. None appear to be headed my way.
But we do seem to have somebody starting fires in the area.
This post is for the comments I made in the Hurrican topics of not understanding why people live down south with the weather problems they have.0 -
I like fire. Fire is good. Do you like fire? I have a fire now. Do you have a fire? Fire is good. I like fire... 0 -
I don't know where: it could be a couple hundred miles from me. But the smell of a forest fire has descended on eastern Washington. I'm not surprised. 0 -
Its not making national news cause its not threatening homes. But this fire is taking out some prime Elk hunting areas.
From the sound of it they are going to let it burn till it either burns out or states to take out residences.

Forest and eastern WA?
It should smell like apple trees![:o)][;)][:D]
I do miss going up there every year though!
My grandparents had a cabin near the Little Nacheze river that we used to go to all the time. That was some of the best trout fishing I have ever done![:D]0 -
I'm about as far east in WA state as you can get without leaving it. I have only to drive 10 miles east to be in ID, and the forest boundary lies pretty much on the state line. Still, we get the smoke from fires burning over a hundred miles away. 0 -

I'm sure there are small fires everywhere. I'm looking at the National Interagency Fire Center website and the newest large fire near here appears to be east of Lewiston...I imagine that's what I was smelling. The scent was pretty strong for about an hour, but by now I'm only smelling it because I know it's there.0
