Me either. Nice reflection, could be well used by looking at the flame cut in the top strap. Or perhaps they only cleaned the outside.

Only the 22 rim fires and the Magnum calibers were recessed.

The 38s, 44 Specials, etc. never were.

Somebody educate me. What does pinned and recessed mean?

    Thanks in advance.

The "pin" keeps the barrel from screwing out, later ones are crush fit. The rims are recessed into the cylinder not sitting on it.

So.....thanks, I totally get 'pinned' now. I gather that 'recessed' means the cylinder is recessed so that the cartridges lie flush with the cylinder face when they're loaded?
