    Right fork. To stop a 3000# Mustang from 300 mph in 12' would require hitting an immovable wall. The 12' come in from your Mustang now being 4' long.

    Ah ha! Now this is where you might get lost in technology. That particular turbine engine creates a small vortex that opens up a wormhole in time that compensates for forces that the car and/or the occupants cannot handle. You actually are time warped into the space from another dimension (a "holding dimension") when the g forces call for it.

    Its all over the Internet so maybe do a little research! [:o)]

    In all seriousness if you tried to stop from 300 to 0mph in 12 feet the acceleration (read "deceleration" for non-physics wonks) will literally pulpify your brain.

    You'll have what's called "diffuse axonal injury", and you'll be in an irreversible coma.
