How many donate blood?
Just out of curiosity. I started doing it this year and I'm going to be doing it this Monday. I feel it's a good idea, one service that's easy and can save a life. I'm sure there are all kinds of opinions out there, but I think it's a good thing.

i do. give blood, platelets, and i think white cells (maybe this has to do with platelets) although i don't like giving platelets cause it makes my lips and gums tingle, but i do when they ask. 0 -
I would really love to give blood, but I have high BP, Was stationed in Germany when Chernobyl went ka-blewy, and I was also to close to the nerve gas in Iraq during Desert Storm. They won't touch me. [:(] 0 -
Used to but no longer. 0 -

I used to (about 4 times a year), however, I no longer meet the ARC blood donation eligibility guidelines below [V]:

You should look into getting a pump, my son has one and it is way better than injections.

I like so many Gulf War Veterans used to, but cannot any longer.[:(!] 0 -
Let me say thank you to all of you who take the time to donate. Like some of the others, I can not due to my extended stay in Germany. ARC guidelines say it is a no-no because of the scare of mad cow disease. I have great veins and would be a great donor. Looks like I may never be allowed. 0 -
I'm too iron blooded, its a curse[;)] 0 -
I want to thank all of you who do, a close friend of mine is alive today because of donated blood. Since I have been out of sports, I have donated and plan on continuing until it's an impossibility. To those that don't donate and could, I ask that you would seriously consider it. You never know whose life you may be saving. 0 -
Amen. And, to those who are scared of needles or blood, kudos for being man enough to admit it. 0 -

Ditto that.0 -
I do but not on a regular basis as I should. When I was working (retired), it was a good set up. I was there and not going anywhere anyhow. [:D] 0 -
I tried once went in and filled out papers ect they rejected me because i stabbed myself with a dirty needle vaccnating cattle and have jabbed myself few times since them so i dont even go. has never had any effect on me so i dont see what the problem is, you'd just be immuned to several cattle diseases is all[:D] 0 -
Been about two years, but I used to donate blood.
Probably should again, inventory is exceptionally low where I am now.0
