Not really.
Edit: Like many, I don't really get it. Some look for the poof-line. I'm among those who discovered it where I didn't expect it.0 -
They say you'll always remember your first. I, on the other hand, don't(for alot of things[:)]). Only my first gun. 0 -

No. Actually, I'm a bit p.o.ed about it. I insulted nobody. I self-censored my foul language. At worst, I think I expressed a negative world-view towards everything.0 -

I should probably take that line from here.
So here's a range report. I bought the Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail 1911 clone a couple weeks ago, and only got to shoot it for the first time a couple days ago.
It only has 28 rounds through it since it left the factory, so this is a poor report, but....first, I suck. I was hitting an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper only 50% of the time with the 14 rounds I shot off-hand at 50 ft. Off the bench, the gun grouped nicely, putting 14 rounds into about an inch at 50 feet. By what I've said so far, you can probably ascertain that the inaccuracy is due more to me than to the pistol.
It does that thing that many reviews warn of: it spits cases back into my face from time to time. I may have to get that fixed at some point.
There were no FTF among those initial 28 rounds...the pistol cycled flawlessly.
The trigger is SWEET.
The tritium sights are SWEET, even though they're useful only in low-light-defense situations. (I'm probably more excited about them than I should be simply because I didn't know that the tritium technology existed until I noticed my pistol's sights glowing in the dark after I had bought it).
Whatever. If I change my mind I'll let you know, but right now, I love this gun!0
