Get your porn from Wal Mart

So what proof does he have that the porn came from Wal Mart and he didn't load it up there just start a law suit and get money.

A man in Cookeville, Tennessee, is thinking about suing Wal-Mart because the MP3 video player he gave to his little girl for Christmas turned out to be loaded with explicit tunes and porn videos.

Daryl Hill says the 10-year-old child burst into tears when she saw it. He says he just wishes he could get those "thoughts and images" out of her head.

Hill figures the player must have been returned by somebody who had loaded it with sex clips and songs about drugs.

Wal-Mart says it's investigating because returned items that have been opened are not supposed to be resold. In the meantime it's offering Hill a replacement. But he says he's going to hang on to it until he talks to a lawyer.

    I think I'll sue Wal-Mart for his daughter's suffering and pain. After all, what hurts one little girl, hurts me.

    Maybe we should all join in and make it a class action suit ??

    Just curious, but how many people here would buy an already opened (because it is alledged to have been loaded with porn/audio before it was returned to Walmart) MP3 Player and NOT check the memory to see what is left behind before giving it to your 10 year-old daughter?

    Is anyone in America responsible for themselves anymore?

    Wanna bet I Bought a digital camera at WW... Didn't work Intruction booklet was written in by who ever returned it before me. box was shrink wrapped... May not be company policy but it is a least one store policy!!!
    Can't say whether it had porn on it or not ...It was broken!!!
    Bottom line for me if it is a return it should be marked as such!!!!

    Just kiddin'. We picked up some blank VHS tapes from Big Lots a few years ago. I put one in the camera and taped a birthday party. With a room full of relatives we played the tape, at the end of the party I taped, yep porn! My parents didn't stay long.

    AGREED. My gut instinct is that this is another one of those "Mouse in a bucket of KFC Chicken" claims. I hope Poindexter knows that it can be determined when those downloads were loaded and if it was AFTER he purchased the item from Walmart, he's looking at FRAUD- and I hope Walmart slams him.

    The whole thing about his innocent little girl "burst into tears" doesn't ring true. If little Susy is that tender and sensitive, then she shouldn't have viewed more than a few seconds before she ran screaming from the room, in which case she should be able to get over it already. I know I only take as much as I can stand whenever dirty pictures mysteriously appear on my monitor from time to time...

    As for just generally slamming WalMart...I don't work for WalMart, I don't own stock in WalMart, I don't even like going to WalMart. But I don't blame WalMart if the shelves are full of Chinese made products. If I buy a Black and Decker Drill at WalMart it's made in China. But when I buy it at a "Family owned business" guess what? That B&D Drill is STILL made in China.

    my kids have had a few, first thing i did every time was plug it in and remove the commercial trash, and help put the stuff they want on it, i just did it for my nephew Christmas day, and why hand it to a 10 year old most do not know how to upload to it anyway

    Maybe the last guy that had it sealed up the box real good and returned it. Wal Mart will have to pony up some cash to these people. They should just settle out of court now.

    I bought a Moultrie game camera from a Wally World in TN yesterday with some Christmas money. Got home with it and nothing else was in the package but the camera. No straps, cords, instruction book...nothing, nada, not a thing. Box had been retaped, but was in good shape and looked new. Was the last one they had. I took it back and women said, "Well, don't know how that happened." I told her I did, "Some moron returned it and yall put it back on the shelf!" After talking to the manager, they gave me one that cost $50 more than the one I wanted, so I was happy. But the point is...Wally World DOES put some returns on the shelf. I don't care what corporate policy is, they do. The local managers get a huge bonus on sales. Returns cut down on sales. The local store makes the decision to re-sell stuff.
