Shipping question
I noticed some sellers state "No sales to California", why is that?
JUST KIDDING!!
And it's not about shipping a gun, just in general:
I'm trying to send a prize to a forum member. He emailed me a partial address and I've asked him for the rest of it, but he hasn't responded.
What he sent was the street add but I don't know what his name is!
His first name is in his profile but is that ok? I looked through the USPS web site and couldn't find any tips on acceptable addresses, just stuff for bulk mailer companies who can use the USPS service to send things addressed like "Residential Postal Customer".
Can I as a private party send it to "Occupant" or some such, or just his first name?
Just thought somebody around here might know.

Is it legal to ship bullets/projectiles via USPS. Not loaded ammo, just the bullets. 0 -
Is it true you don't have to go through an FFL if you ship a firearm from yourself to yourself? I heard that somewhere, but I can't find anything that confirms it. 0 -
Can I Ship a gun/guns rifle and handgun from a state that I am not a resident in?
IE
I live in Wyoming going on vacation in Idaho. Payment might not be here by the time I leave. Think of having the buyer ship payment to an Idaho address and then shipping the firearm. Would this work?0 -
Happy holidays everyone!
I have a question about shipping long guns (not talking about pistols)I have been told various versions from dealers, pawnshop owners, and enthusiasts (as most of us are).
The question is:
Can you ship a long gun, rifle or shotgun, broken down in separate boxes by someone like UPS directly from yourself to a relative or ordinary person in another state (both states where no ownership restrictions apply)?
Another twist would be to ship it from yourself, fly there, and recieve it at the other end (from me to me).
Well, let's here what you think.

I have a mossberg 535 12ga, I do not have an FFL. If I purchase a turkey barrel online can I have it shipped to my home or do I need to send it to an FFL holder? 0 -
Awhile back the auction side was advertising reduced shipping rates with a shipper. Is that still going? If so I can't seem to find it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Not for a gun but bigger. An engine block. How is the best way to ship an engine block and what service? It would be from a private party in a rural setting and he doesnt want to lift it. any suggestions?

I know, I know, this stuff has been covered a thousand times. I did do a search of previous topics, but didn't get an answer to this question. When you return a firearm to the manufacturer for repair, can they ship it straight back to you or does it have to go to a FFL?

That is correct, in general. But, to be legal, you must open the package yourself.
