I assume you mean illegals.
My mom is a green card holding "alien", been married to my dad over 25 years, her mom was an american citizen, who moved to Jamaica.
Customs officials always seem confused that she isn't an American citizen.
Anyway- she has a job that comes with healthcare, pays taxes, etc.
Lets try to use the term "Illegals" rather than "aliens"
If you give in the the PC crud and call them "aliens" or "immigrants" rather than "illegals", you do a disservice to the law abiding legal, tax paying, resident aliens.0 -

The way I see it, National Healthcare goes beyond the powers vestedin Congress or the President, and is unconstitutional.
State run health care on the other hand is not.
Lets see Hillary Clinton get a New York State Healthcare system going successfully before even thinking about attempting it on a national level.
I am unsure if government run healthcare is a bad thing. Government run education seems ok, and I hear Europe does it pretty well.
But Federally run health care? NO!

It all depends on the tax scheme they set up to pay for the system.
Do they tax Juan Ramirez $5 a year, and John Smith $15,000 a year for the system?
Or does Juan pay a flat fee like John?
Would it be like a state University Education system, where you have In state rates that are lower than out of state rates? All instate users pay equally into it (the medical equivalent of scholarships and student loans aside).
The problem is when an HMO becomes monopolistic, and docotors are forced to charge the HMO substantially less for a service than Joe Blow who walks in from the street.
Add into this... that HMO upper levels get obsecene amounts of money, effectively siphoning money from a healthcare system.
Ideally the government would eliminate the "Fat Cat" CEOs of monopolistic HMOs such that more money going into the healthcare system is actually spent on healthcare.
It is not necessarily a redistribution of wealth, just making sure the money you pay for healthcare is actually spent on healthcare.
I am skeptical that our government could actually run such a program, or that it wouldn't be PC and give free healthcare (aka redistribution of taxes).
It could be done in a way I think would be acceptable, but I think making the entire nation a test case is how we end up with snafu's like Social Security.
I am 100% against a national healthcare system. I do think states might be able to do it effectively- I wouldn't want my state to be the first to try it. However, if another state set up a fair government run healthcare system (preferably with optional enrolment, with private HMOs still being an option, that doesnt borrow funds from other programs), I would not be opposed to my statesetting up a system using the successful and fair one as a model0
